Rosa Hernandez, a Mexican immigrant is a hard working cleaning lady. She does not satisfy any expectations of beauty or pristine. She is humble, unwitting and still naive. She is the stereotype of a low income immigrant with no voice in the system. Giving her the power to clean compensates the idea of being a servant for others.
Rosa Hernandez emerges with the notion of placing underprivileged Latinas in spaces where they usually go unnoticed.
